Chef’s Table Food & Wine Pairing Dinner

If you love food, wine and meeting new people, then this is the experience for you! Imagine a dining experience at the finest Chef’s table or restaurant of Paris, but in the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of our cooking school in Montmartre.

What will you experience?

One of our world-class professionally trained chefs will prepare a seasonal tasting menu consisting of 5 dishes using the best seasonal produce from our local market.

Each course will be paired with a wine specifically chosen to accompany the dish.

You will observe classical French technique and watch much of the preparation live in our demonstration kitchen.

Each course will be paired with a different wine to compliment the subtlety of flavors and aromas of modern French gastronomy.

I will teach you about the origins of each wine, the grape varieties and a bit of background with the use of a detailed map of France.

Most importantly, you will be able to appreciate the French idea that through proper food and wine pairing the wine improves the food and the food improves the wine.

We strive to provide you will the same quality of cuisine that you would find in a Michelin starred restaurant, however without the pomp and snobbery of eating in such a restaurant.

You’ll be able to ask questions, get a close-up look at the preparations and mostly importantly, enjoy your meal in the company of other food and wine lovers.

You will leave the Chef’s Table satiated and full of memories with new friends from this unique experience. Dining at the Chef’s Table is sure to be a highlight of your trip to Paris.

I pre-arranged this tour for my family (husband, 2 girls ages 11 & 15, and myself) – it was our favorite activity over the week we were in Paris. We are definitely “eaters” and love all foods, so it was great to be taken to some of the best gourmet shops in Paris. We learned about the history behind the typical French foods, about the government control of the different types of shops, and did tastings at each stop. We visited a boulangerie, charcuterie, patisserie, fromagerie, boucherie, an Armagnac shop, and looked in many other stores along the way. Our docent was AMAZING (Preston Mohr) – he went out of his way to speak in terms the kids would understand, he explained things that crossed our path even though it wasn’t part of our tour, he came prepared with hand sanitizer and a knife for tastings, and even advised us on things to do for the rest of our day, with detailed instructions. The tastings were delicious and plentiful!!

The Wine/Cheese Master class taught by Preston Mohr was excellent! Preston was very knowledgeable about the different wines that paired well with cheese. The cheese/wine was delicious. This class was 2 ½ hours, although I felt I could have been there for ages :) There were 4 of us in the class and we had a really good time. Upon returning back to the States, I will never look at cheese the same way. I am looking forward to returning to Paris. I will definitely take Preston’s class again with Cook’n with class! Preston introduced to us the chocolate with cheese as well. So delicious!
