What people think about Paris By The Glass ?

I pre-arranged this tour for my family (husband, 2 girls ages 11 & 15, and myself) – it was our favorite activity over the week we were in Paris. We are definitely “eaters” and love all foods, so it was great to be taken to some of the best gourmet shops in Paris. We learned about the history behind the typical French foods, about the government control of the different types of shops, and did tastings at each stop. We visited a boulangerie, charcuterie, patisserie, fromagerie, boucherie, an Armagnac shop, and looked in many other stores along the way. Our docent was AMAZING (Preston Mohr) – he went out of his way to speak in terms the kids would understand, he explained things that crossed our path even though it wasn’t part of our tour, he came prepared with hand sanitizer and a knife for tastings, and even advised us on things to do for the rest of our day, with detailed instructions. The tastings were delicious and plentiful!!

“Our lucky group of four had Preston to ourselves as we embarked on our adventure to the Champagne region. Preston was the perfect host/guide, intelligent, charming and funny, yet down to earth at the same time. I’d researched a few day trips to the region, and Preston’s name was passed on to me by the lady that managed the Paris apartment where we stayed. We visited two champagne houses (one big, one small), the Reims cathedral (amazing) and had a delicious lunch, that had plenty of choices on the menu. One of the highlights of our trip to Paris. Thank you Preston!!”

Had a nice time with Preston our guide. Went to 2 wine bars, had wine at both and a great meat and cheese plate as well. He was friendly, knowledgable, and we had a nice time.

The Wine/Cheese Master class taught by Preston Mohr was excellent! Preston was very knowledgeable about the different wines that paired well with cheese. The cheese/wine was delicious. This class was 2 ½ hours, although I felt I could have been there for ages :) There were 4 of us in the class and we had a really good time. Upon returning back to the States, I will never look at cheese the same way. I am looking forward to returning to Paris. I will definitely take Preston’s class again with Cook’n with class! Preston introduced to us the chocolate with cheese as well. So delicious!

Thank you Preston :)

“What an experience…. If you have time, book this trip!! Well worth every euro! We met at Cook’n Class, and a driver drove to Reims. Preston was our wine expert for the day, and so knowledgeable he is!! We went to 2 amazing wine houses, one of which we got to see champagne being bottled! Also a lovely lunch, with champagne, of course. I booked this trip easily from home before we left for Paris… We also saw the amazing cathedral in Reims… worth the trip out. If you love champagne, you will love this trip!!”

“We met Preston a few years back when he was involved in apartment management and became more and more impressed with his kind conscientiousness. It has been gratifying to see him blossom professionally and develop a career based on things he loves, i.e., food and wine. He not only does wine related tours and classes but has the knowledge and flexibility to personalize private requests. We have used his expertise to help us organize private dinners for six in our apartment. After taking into account everyone’s preferences he selected an excellent chef and the two them consulted on the menu after which Preston selected an excellent wine to accompany each course.”

“Last month I went to the master Cheese & Wine class. It was an usually intimate group of myself self and one couple visiting from the States. Preston was our instructor. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience very pleasurable. If you are looking for a fun way to spend your time in Paris to learn more about French Wines and Cheeses – in English. This is the place to go!!”

“I spent an amazing day visiting the Champagne region whilst on a visit to Paris in July 2012. This day was one of the high moments while visiting Paris. I would highly recommend a visit to this region and, especially with Preston as guide. Preston is a fantastic guide. His knowledge of the area is unlimited. He is thoughtful, on time, courteous and friendly.”

“My husband & I did 2 classes whilst in Paris. We did the wine & cheese master class with Preston, really enjoyed this class, we tasted 5 wonderful cheeses & tastes 3 great wines & a champagne. This class was very interesting & Preston was very informative.”

“We enjoyed the company and guidance of chef Constance and wine expert Preston when we joined the wine and food matching class. Relaxed, informal and delicious. The courses presented and the wine to matched were easy easy and drinking and easy to take home ideas and inspiration. It was a new course and when we requested a printed menu Preston was instantly on to it and together with our notes became an instant valued souvenir. Constance was so organized, confident and charming her dishes appeared to be effortless – it was a night out not a class!”

“Preston’s wine & cheese master class was wonderful! He’s personable, professional, patient, unpretentious and wonderfully knowledgeable! And he has a knack for making a group of strangers comfortable! I’d highly recommend any classes Preston gives!”

Joan - Paris, April 2013

“My wife and I recently (October 2012) took the Cheese & Wine Masterclass with Preston Mohr the day after we arrived in Paris. A friend and two others made up the balance of our class of five, which lasted about 2-1/4 hours. The session was as enjoyable as it was informative. We sampled wines from various regions in France, learned a bit about their history and tasted many French cheeses and breads that might be paired with the wine samples. Preston was very personable, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Definitely a worthwhile experience at a reasonable cost.”
